DFC to Purchase Dakota Crop Services

Central Dakota Frontier Cooperative (DFC) and Dakota Crop Services of Kensal, ND (Dakota Crop) have entered an agreement for DFC to purchase Dakota Crop effective September 1, 2024.

Dakota Crop is an agronomy input retailer supplying seed and chemical in Foster County, ND. DFC is one of the largest independent ag. supply cooperatives in western North Dakota.

Chris Heidrich, DFC CEO, states: “I am excited about the addition of Dakota Crop’s business to the DFC portfolio. DFC has a great employee in Austin Musland who will take over leadership of the Dakota Crop location on September 1. We are grateful for the outstanding business and customer relationships that Joel Lampert (owner and manager of Dakota Crop) has built over the last several years, and we would like to publicly thank him for staying on and working with DFC into the future.”

Until the closing date of September 1, 2024, DFC and Dakota Crop will operate out of the Dakota Crop Services location, and Joel Lampert and Austin Musland will work jointly with customers to facilitate the transition. Dakota Crop Services has $3 million of seed and crop protection, and it is located 10 miles northeast of Kensal, ND.
